Myers Cross Training

I’m not good at sales…which would explain why I’ve never wanted a job that involves retail. However, since I started working at age 16, I’ve attempted sales several times. (Sometimes, you just do what you have to do.) My heart was never in it, though, so eventually, I would always find another job and move on.

When I graduated college, I got some awesome advice: “Find something you’re good at, something you are truly passionate about…and sucker someone into paying you to do it. That’s how you pick a career.” I remember staring at my resume and getting frustrated by what I saw. The only jobs I’ve ever kept & loved were either ministry-related or fitness-related. How would I ever combine the two?

Enter Beachbody. You’ve seen the P90X infomercial at least a dozen times. Or Insanity, TurboFire, Slim-in-6, etc, etc, etc. If you’re like I was, you’re skeptical. After all, when I first tried P90X, I had been working as a personal trainer for four years. Was it actually possible that a DVD could possibly be a decent workout?

In a word…YES! Being completely honest…it kicked my tail! But not only was I sore — I was HOOKED!

I was working an 8am-5pm job as a writer with a 30-minute commute and evening ministry commitments, so getting to the gym involved getting up about 4:30am. Working out from home allowed me to sleep in an extra hour — which makes a big difference! Plus, I was getting better results. Everyone works out harder when someone else is pushing you…even if it’s Tony Horton on your TV at home!

So what did I do? Naturally, I started telling everyone about it. I may not be a saleswoman, but when I find something that works, I shout it from the rooftops. {If you’ve talked to me three times, I’ve probably told you about Shakeology, Eat Cleaner Food Wash, Method cleaning products, TweetDeck, or Smashbox bionic mascara.) Slowly, I realized that was the missing link between all of my other sales experiences. I’d never sold anything I REALLY believed was the best product available.

So I took the leap, became a distributor for Beachbody, and Myers Cross Training was born — my very own fitness business that allows me to combine my passions for helping others get both physically AND spiritually fit.

Since I started two years ago, I’ve been able to help tons of my family members and friends lose weight, get stronger, increase their energy levels, and improve their overall health — lots of whom are also paying it forward by starting their own Beachbody businesses. In turn, they’ve reported being better spouses, parents, employees, volunteers…you can pretty much fill in the blank here, and I’ve probably heard it.

I’ve also met & hung out with celebrity trainers Chalene Johnson, Tony Horton and Donna Richardson.

Gone on a FREE perk trip to Kauai, Hawaii.

Met some of the most incredible influential people that I couldn’t be more grateful to God for bringing them into my life.

Qualified for an 8-day ALL EXPENSE PAID Carribean cruise in March 2011 for me & my husband.
